It's finally done!!! At least mostly. I'll keep seeing little things to change for the next few weeks before I'll finally leave it alone....
This was a fight to get uploaded after all the scanning issues cause it's just so dang huge. Ended up hunting down the largest scanner in the school and, even then, ended up with four pieces resulting in some photoshop magic. Came out pretty nice and as seamless as possible. The dragon's scales are done in a special metallic copper paint so that when you look at it at the right angle, they shine apart from the rest of the paint. The same goes for the ivory talons and horns. Overall, pretty fun project and now I want to start another!
