Another wolf feather painting?! Yes, I know. Unfortunately, this feather was a commission but didn't fit the commissioner's needs because of lack of communication. They wanted a front-facing wolf but I was not told this until I had finished this one. This painting is now for sale on a first-come-first-serve basis. I will now have to paint yet another wolf. *sigh*

Looks as if the legs on that wolf are extremely short.... so I'll have to tell you that it's a wee bit out of proportion. ^^; But... for the most part, it does look very nice. :nod: Just something to keep in mind. :)

Hope that the Commissioner likes your new one. :) I'm working on a piece right now, and the commissioner isn't happy with what I came up with either. :( So I'll have to go back to the drawing board... mine might have a little bit of non-communication too. ;p

Yeah, my main issue also with the legs were that they would not fit on the feather very well. I know they usually go out further but then they'd be painted way off the feather. Which may have actually been the way to go. But I thought about it and we have a dog who has managed to sit that way, with her "elbows" far back behind her. We'll see how it goes... I might decide to go back and change it.

:nod: I knew that was exactly why you didn't. I shortcut like that too... or at least I used too. ^^; I'm sure that when you do it the way you were "supposed to", ( ;p ) you'll be able to have them look great. :)
