This is my first painting in Corel Painter. I gotta say, that program is insanely cool because of all the mediums!

This painting has taken me far longer than I would have liked but after critique after critique, I think I'm finally happy with it. 's [link] gets full credit for the background's reference. I did not use it directly but rather as reference for the rocks and land's layout.

And because I learned already that this is necessary, I have to point out that no, the male lion doesn't usually participate in hunting, but rather waits around until a group of lionesses have killed their prey. He then proceeds to try to take the entire thing for himself. Fair? I think not.
